ereaders are hard to find...

[crenita]

Just came back from final shopping and stopped at Sam's.. they have NO ereaders of any kind nor any tablet pc's.. and havent' for several weeks. The tech there told me they have been asked the same question each day about the ereaders and tablets 20+ times a day.. and could be selling loads more if they could get their hands on them..
So there may not be a lot of traffic on this board of tablets for this reason.. We weill probably see an explosion of people after the holidays...

I am still not sure my purchse of the NC was a smart one.. vs getting an Archo or more neutral tablet so I can get books from all souces vs just Barnes and Nobles...
maybe I can sell it ?????

The Nooks support the open epub format as well as PDF so you can get books from a variety of sources, including your public library. The only thing is you'll need to download it to your computer then transfer it via USB. The Shop on the nooks is access to the B&N store only.

I've read too many things about the dubious quality of the Archos that I wouldn't get one. The NC has rock solid hardware and a gorgeous screen.
