I bought the car dock built for the HTC HD2, and it fits PERFECTLY! It's as though it was designed for the ERIS.

It would normally be too big for the Eris, but if you have a sanp on hard case, it fits perfectly... Which I like better, because then I don't have to take my phone out of its case just to put it in the car mount.

My probem is the Seidio 3500mAh battery cover. The phone is now twice as thick, even without a hard case (can't find one that fits anyway) so nothing works. Now, since I'm pretty handy with a drill, I am thinking about installing two steel plates in the back cover and making a mount loaded with two neodymium magnets. Any nasty side-effects to this idea, with the magnets and all? I know the A855 uses low-strength magnets in the car mount and the media dock, but that is an OEM design and well thought out. I don't want to damage my speakers or microphone with the magnets. Or am I being too critical?

Never had any issues with satellite reception. I have been using the navigation since the first leak, never had issues except for the tunnel I went through near downtown. Mobile, AL.
