Eris to v2.x, when?

I finally found an actual reason to hope for 2.X to come. I installed PDANet and paid for the full version. The USB link works great, but I would really like to use the bluetooth link and its only supported under 2.x and higher.

Google Nav is there, along with the new Leap feature. Not sure about animated wallpapers, but do you REALLY want them??? I'd take the performance/application upgrades over a little eye candy any day... ;)
You're right, I'll probably turn it off, but I want to do it myself, damnit! I don't want any training wheels on this bitch, even if it means I might crash!

This was my original crushing disappointment with the Eris and 1.5. Took the shine off of my new toy in a HUGE way for me.

Well, like I said, a USB cable is not a BIG deal, but not having to use the cable is really cool too :D

I personally only use my tethering at work on occasion (they are locking us down on the NASA owned computers) and when I am on the road for my company (mostly customer credit card authorizations).

Hmmmm, seems I found something...

LOL!

Yes, it's the test 2.1.

Well I'll be darned.

I'm sure we'll all remain calm about this.

although some will be chomping at the bit, making assumptions and running around our (I mean their) houses with our (I mean their) arms over our (I mean their) heads, shouting, "2.1! 2.1 is COMING!!"

1 if by land, 2 if by sea...

But I have to say, Leap is pretty cool

Could you post a pic of Leap? Or anything for that matter? Just know you're killing us over here;)

Leap is just like the video on Engadget. You can pinch or just hit home from the home screen to pull up the leap screen. Then pinch or tap the screen you want.

Yeah, I watched that video earlier today. I was just hoping I could get some more screenshots out of you..Thanks for all your info over these past few days. You came outta nowhere!

Screenies may be hard to come by. I'll see what can be had...

I lurked for a while after the droids launched. Then when I got a Eris BOGO I decided to join the fun :)

toward the end did you go to the manage applications menu? like settings>apps>manage apps?

if so, loaded real fast!

No, that was settings -> about phone. Trying to show the 2.1 version. Manage Apps is as slow as before :(

First gripe: No pinch zoom in Google Maps. Perhaps they'll add it later.
