Eris to v2.x, when?

Yeah Verizon is pretty good from the experience i have. then again my wife is an angry Italian so we usually don't have any problems with any customer service reps.

@HTC I know you are getting a lot of tweets about Android 2.1. As an #Eris owner, I'm excited about 2.1. Do you have a release date?
 
I surrender. Just going to sit back and relax and wait for the update notice to appear on the phone. Getting increasing frustrated just reading and reading and reading and reading about the release. I'm sooooo confuseddddddd........so tired.....must sleep.....tempted to go back to a 'dumb' phone.....:eek:

Dont know if you have voiced out on this but if it is released before root do you plan on getting update or waiting on root?
 
I plan on holding off the update untill root. You can always root first then go back and get the OTA if you want it. Not sure if you'll be able to do it the other way. Atleast not for a while.
 
I haven't decided yet. I really want the new features that 2.1 will offer, but I also really want root access. Probably which ever comes first.
