I don't know why you guys bother emailing them they obviously wont know any sooner than the rest of us.
A mushroom? What does that mean?I haven't e mailed them...I don't appreciate being treated like a mushroom...I was making an observation about how now it is google's fault and last week it was HTC's fault....
it was a generalization not directed explicitly toward you nor was it an insult.I haven't e mailed them...I don't appreciate being treated like a mushroom...I was making an observation about how now it is google's fault and last week it was HTC's fault....

That's actually exactly how they look in 2.1, so they must be advertising what your phone will look like soon.I think it is a horrible tease that the e-mail Verizon sent me last week "introducing" me to my newly acquired Eris shows artificial screen-shots of the phone running Google Maps Navigation, and a nicer-looking Marketplace...

Our Notification bar at the top on our Eris is black, not white
and last time I checked, it rotated horizontally only when turned onto it's left side, not right. Someone in Verizon's marketing department needs smacked.

For what it's worth, just received by e-mail from VZW in response to question about when 2.1 will be released for the Droid Eris:
Dear.....:
Verizon Wireless has yet to obtain any credible feedback from Google, regarding the release of a 2.1 device firmware for the HTC DROID Eris ADR6200 Smartphones. Once available, the OS release will be automatically delivered to your handset for download and installation...
but what version of 'cake'![]()
Mmmmmm. ..Wendy's!
Kidding, I have to wonder if the 2.1 that was "leaked" was the near final version Google was planning on releasing to the Eris before they pulled the plug.
