I agree to an extent. However, if you don't know about it, don't act like you do lol. It would be mind boggling knowing everything about every phone...especially phones that aren't very popular...shoooooot.

I guess I'm just a nerd when it comes to cell phone technology...I really enjoy reading up on the latest stuff and androidforums is a great way to keep up.

I'm not gonna get into too many details, but my pops and I had a car buying experience that had me shaking my head as we walked out. There was a car we inquired about and the sales rep (who had sold us a car before, that's why we went to him again) told us it wasn't even going to begin production until September. This was back in February, btw. We told him otherwise and he went and checked with the owner and it slowly turned into, yes, you can place an order in May, we'll have it to you by mid-summer. Finally, after more scrounging around, he came back and said we could order today and have it by mid-May. We're two weeks away from it.

Moral is, sales reps don't know shit. You gotta come in with your own information and stick to your guns, even if they tell you otherwise. If it won't help them get a sale now, that's even more suspicious.

Here is the bottom line for those who apparently can not read or have chosen to ignore what I have said: nobody who works in front line customer care, store reps, tech support, or anyone else you would call to find out about the release date knows anything. Nobody does. When the software is done, it will be released. There have not been any official memos with release dates. Just stop, please.

And in case anyone missed it the few times I mentioned it, its, I do work for big red and nobody knows.

I'll thank of the damned when I can get my pc back from the wife.

It is fast as hell but the stupid compact qwerty 'if' problem still exists, plug in my pc speakers and blam, skips a few songs and there was something else that I forgot. The nice thing is the camera bug seems to be gone so hopefully that is a driver issue they can clear up easily for the Eris.
 
my husband asked VZW for shits and giggles while he was picking up a new case for his phone and the guy laughed and said he had no clue. he did however say he may leave blackberry for the incredible...until i told him i read that the battery life sucks worse than that of the eris. he looked a tad nervous, and i'm not sure why...

The "i"s keep getting capitalized in words like "if". Any word that begins with "i" gets capitalized.

And the damn auto correct keeps saying I put "on" instead of "in." It never gets the two right when I want it to.

These are just my problems with Messages. The keyboard lag is there as well.

Is this with the stock message app? I don't get it like this using Handcent.
 
More kittens have to die because of this thread.

The OTA will be released when it is released, and not any time sooner. No one can tell you when or how.

If you are so impatient for 2.1 Eclair, join the revolution and install the one of the posted leaks. Amaze your friend and neighbors. Stun the Verizon employees. Flabbergast total strangers. Tickle yourself pink, green, blue, then yellow.

JUST PLEASE LEAVE THE KITTENS ALONE!!

If it bugs you that there are still threads and chatter about it, peel your eyes away! There is no way it will stop, no matter how much we beg.

Absolutely right.

We get to enjoy this whole thing on many levels (with a bit of overlap from level to level, of course).

One level is that of pretending like it's all "those dorks" who are killing kittens, not us. :cool:

Another level is killing the kittens, that's a joy beyond description (this the proliferation of photographs and the occasional video). :eek:

Yet another level of enjoyment is what you just did and what I'm doing now; taking on the role of a "third party" who is just sitting back and enjoying the show. ;)

The keyboard just hangs up typing if or I'm. And it seems very specific to the preferences i use. And vzw probably does hate me :). Just pointing them out none are deal breakers. Wanted to mention how similar the third leak is to official2.1 is all
 
i dunno what planet yall live on, but here on earth there's a finite number of kittens, and im pretty sure they're all dead from the last four months of 2.1 controversy.

Yes, it's the native messaging app. I'm not big on Chomp and Handcent.


With all the different browsers and home replacement apps, I'm surprised there are only two big-name messaging apps. Someone needs to work on that.
 
I just got off the phone with Verizon and they say that they have changed the 2.1 roll out method. They are now going to send out the update OTK (over the kitten). The only thing the reps are concerned about is the mass kitten genocide that keeps occurring because of these threads. If you guys keep it up there will never be an update.
