Eris will Not be getting 2.1, That's it

The 2.1 OS is done. Ready to go. The only reason we don't have it yet is because Verizon is having issues with the OTA process. (As seen with the DROID) We now see that they have it running smoothly. When ever they get done rolling out the droid OTA, they will start with ours. Period. END OF STORY. Now I'm going to take a moment of silence for the kitten that was needlessly murdered because of this thread.

Word on the street is that VZW decided it was cheaper to send all Eris users a new Incredible than to do the 2.1 OTA.

So are you saying you believe they will be sending all of the users new phones? Not release an update that would cost nothing in parts or shipping?

You didn't read that press release? Verizon called me personally to make sure they had the right address to send my phone to. My phone should be shipping next week.

How about the actual 2.1 leak that exists? What more proof would you like other than the actual item? Not to mention the countless docs that discuss and evidence that Verizon has the intention to release it. Much more documentation exists to evidence a release than your "source."

I'm beginning to think you can't possibly be serious. If you read any of the stickied 2.1 threads, I think you might find the "evidence" you're looking for.
Assuming you are in fact serious, your brother's neighbor's friend's girlfriend (or whoever it was) does NOT = credibility.
