Hello all and many thanks for all your answers so far.

My question today is . Is my phone rooted. Have been reading the rooting guide and am now not sure if my phone is rooted or not. I had to use Revolutionary to what I thought was rooting my phone downto the fact that unrevoked failed. Does the revolutionary method actually root the phone?.

Cheers everyone

You should read more! This is all answered for you. revolutionary will just give you s-off, which means you can fastboot flash a custom recovery, from which you can install a custom rooted rom. Alternatively you can just flash a "superuser zip" from the revolutionary site that will give you root.
