Root Error: Run 'nandroid-mobile.sh' via adb!

Since I flashed VillainRom 13 (idk if there's a connection), I haven't been about to perfome nand backups/restores without "Error: Run 'nandroid-mobile.sh' via adb!" appearing before it's done.

I've tried everything: Wiped my phone, freed up my sd card, flashed the latest version of Amon_RA, and then tried with a battery power of about 94%.

I haven't been able to flash any new roms or themes because I don't like to risk flashing stuff without nandroids...any advice on how to fix it aside from what I've already done?

Yeah, I tried pretty much everything there except your reply to Penny in the link you posted which was about "Error: run ' nandroid- mobile. sh restore ' via console!" and I assume that's a different problem. Or does that apply to this as well?

Also, the reason I made a new topic is because in most if not all forums I've been to forbid reviving dead topics...sorry if I wasn't supposed to.

It sounds as if it's a similar error, so try the same troubleshooting procedure that Penny did.

No worries, it's easy enough to merge the two later if it makes sense. There's no time limit after which a thread is deemed "dead" here anyway. I would rather see a "dead" thread revived with a relevant post then end up with duplicate topics on the same subject, as that makes searching for info in the future easier for others. Not doing so certainly isn't a hanging offence though, and I'm sorry if I appeared to be criticising. The link to the other topic was purely to provide background info for anyone unfamiliar with the original problem.

Ok, this might sound strange but I just decided to charge my phone to a 100% instead of the 90s and I did a normal nandroid backup, w/o ext and it managed to work. Idk but the nand+ext backup could possilby have been the problem...i'll try a +ext to confirm.

Edit: I think it's safe to confirm that +ext might have been the problem cause I tried just now and I got the error again. Maybe there's some hidden requirement to +ext...
