Root ESN 0'ed

Clon™

Lurker
so im fairly new to android development not saying i don't have experience, i just don't spend much time doing it.

Anyways i recently obtained a Photon 4g and i had Rooted/Unlocked fastboot upon that i had went threw with WS and wrote down every bit of data i could that i could have to possible restore. Now with my SPC/ESN/MIN ect wrote down i would think i am safe to swap the ESN however after several attempts the ESN remained the same, getting late and thinking i'm not going to be very successful i decided to try to add just 0's.

i wrote to the phone and requested a status of the NVI and just what i thought it returned the same as the original so i said forget it and disconnected the phone and went to bed, Upon awakening this morning and thinking i would give it another shot i pluged the phone up and continued where i left off only this time upon booting into BP Tools mode and plugging the phone up to read the esn WOW!!! the ESN has became all 0's and now i cant figure out how or why.

And when trying to program the radio ##3282# and or WS the MCC/MNC ect will not stay to the written values.

eh ok i think the esn 0's out when unlocking gsm i returned it to stock and now everything is the way its suppose to be..

however im still trying to swap meid ive went threw a couple different steps and still no progress...

using QXDM i keep recieving this error

01:49:22.148requestnvitemread meid
01:49:22.250DIAG TX item:
01:49:22.250meid = 0x0000000000000000
01:49:22.250DIAG RX item:
01:49:22.250meid = 0x00A00000********

when writing meid i write to the TX and not RX ?

01:50:06.800DIAG TX item:
01:50:06.800meid = 0x00A00000********
01:50:06.800DIAG RX item:
01:50:06.800requestnvitemwrite - Error response received from target

Clon, the root forum here is pretty quiet these days. I suggest checking the XDA forums for Photon rooting questions like this one, it's generally more active with devs who could puzzle out your error codes. Good luck!
