## it is highly recommended you update to 1.6a ##
Time for my new rom. The ICS version of Gsnap elite. This is the initial release and may contain some bugs. The lg ui is proving to be a pain to work with so consider this an alpha or an early beta. In other words things may not be 100% stable just yet. Please report any issues you have.

Based on Phenoms 8-30-13 ICS

Install
#Always make a back up first
1. Do a full wipe
#Full wipe includes data/reset factory resotre in recovery, wipe cache, under mounts and storage wipe system, under advanced wipe dalvik
2. Flash the ROM
3. Flash gapps
4. Fix Permissions
5. Reboot (this might take some time due to app optimization)
6. Wait few minutes and reboot again

***** Special notes, after flashing and fixing permissions you will see an option to fix root when you try to reboot. You want to select this, i added some ram tweaks and it requires this. Then after you get into the phone open superuser and update the binary and you should be fine *****

What's included:
Full LG UI 3 launcher with wallpapers and widget pickers
LG UI 3 Themed apps
LG UI 3 Persistent theme
LG Weather, Finance, File Manager, Memo
LG Fonts, boot animation and sounds

Extra Apps:
Terminal
Torch
Google Music
aLogcat

Added custom hostfile

Issues:
# First boot seems to take a little while but be patient, you also may notice the indicator lights go off, if they do try hitting the power button to "lock" the phone then unlock it to jump start it (similar to how ecksperiaz was)
# Home and force close every so often

Workarounds
# I just noticed if after you flash if you boot back into recovery, fix permissions and reboot again then the default wallpaper will show up and the phantom icons will be gone
# If the super user app still wont work then go to system settings > apps and clear the data and cache on the super user app and try updating again

Annoyances:
# The wallpaper is blank when you first boot, just set your own.

Partially implemented:

# V6 and ram tweaks partially implemented
# SRS Panel in but not working 100% just use dsp manager for now
# Theme not hard coded just yet.
# Some elements aren't fully themed since I had to do some regression testing to fix the issues and will be reintroduced soon.

Version 1.8 Changes
# Updated to latest cm9
# Superuser functions normally
# No more phantom icons

Next Release:
# Add a few more wallpapers that I like
# Try to incorperate the lg lock screen
# fix fc on home

# Cleaned up the tweaks a bit
# hwa no longer force closes
# phantom icons no longer on homescreen
# MMS, phone and contacts now properly themed

OK. Got it fixed. I also updated miui, got a new build of ecksperia z. Uploading tomorrow

Basically I was getting rebooted every time I installed an app. The cause ended up being the extra apps I included. Apparently it didn't like that. But its working, I'm using it now and its smooth as silk so far

@ken

This looks great, nice job man. Is the theme hard coded in or is it a theme chooser theme?

In THIS version its a persistant theme chooser theme. In the next couple releases it SHOULD be hard coded with an optional light version as a theme chooser theme.

Uploading it now by the way.

Oh and Ronii I think the issue with gb roms is a ram management issue since the phone will reboot when many apps are being used. What was happening with Esnap is the actual package installer was broken and when it tried to install something it would cause the phone to reboot.

This looks great. You,Artine, and starkraving should work together on a rom.

Ken and I are working on a joint GB venture. Likely the last GB project for either of us. I'm currently setting up a build environment for my own 4.3 ROM for N4. Hopefully I'll learn enough along the way to contribute more mods.(like the clock apk which is driving me mad.)

Really like the ram tweeks you did, I'm able to run a few extra apps without noticeable system lag. Didn't get to "Fix Permissions" tho, twrp doesn't seem to allow that after a factory reset. all seem to be working fine tho, minus the known hwa closes. Cheers Ken.

Yeah the hwa thing is a leftover from the port controlling some extra hardware acceleration (hwa) I either need to remove it completely or get it to work. Your root permissions work as well?

@stark I also intend to update gsnap and ecksperia one last time to polish them off but that's it

Full r/w root according to superuser when I updated the binary. Wouldn't mind some darker themes, not for style, just bright colors hurt my eyes. grabbing a generic black wallpaper for now.

Well a dark theme won't be coming from me unfortunately. The roms intention is to mimic the lg UI and this is as dark as it gets lol

Also can anyone else running twrp confirm that root works ootb?

Progress report

--Reimplenented themed phone, contact and mms apk (bubbles ftw)

--Fixed HWA force closes

--Almost fixed home force closes

--Will remove SRS because it looks like all the links on how to properly install it are down, but we still have dsp manager

-- Working on the supersuer stuff now, may end up swapping it out for supper su in the end

I uploaded a new version (1.6a) that fixes a few things I recently found. It is recommended you update to the newest version. I wasn't able to include all the fixes yet because a few files I need don't seem to want to download. Hopefully tomorrow.

Could someone give me a quick rundown of the what's working and what's not on this Rom? Is it laggy at all? I'd really appreciate it. Also, is this 4.0? This project of yours looks pretty awesome, Ken.:)

4.0.4, very little lag if any, everything works, home force closes sometimes and superuser needs special attention in some cases
