Help Esteem-I have one extra for full TESTING (roms, ICS, CM7, Recovery, etc)

Hello all. I have an Esteem full able and willing to be a test dummie.

Just as long as if anything happens the original ROM can be restored for furter testing. I don't need a one click brick.

So hit me up if anyone is ready for Recovery, Rom, Kernal testing!

Can't wait!

It's pretty hard to brick an Android device, all you have to do is put it in download mode and use Odin to restore it.
Do believe Odin only works for samsung devices. But LG has their own software to flash back to stock, not to mention there are other ways. I am only familar with huawei's, moto's, and the LG Optimus thus far tho.

I know for a fact it works with HTC devices too, don't know why it wouldn't work with LG.

I have only seen samsung used with Odin, and cant say if it does or doesnt work with HTC devices as I've never owned or worked with one. LG has their own call LGNPST used to flash back to stock, updates etc.

umm sorry but that didnt show a single thing that says Odin works with anything other than samsung lol. Yes alot comes up on the page, but every link leads to a single post with no replies, or a post from a HTC owner with a new samsung, etc, etc, etc. Actually one of the links said HTC uses something called 'RUU for Rom Utility Update'.

I'm not trying to debate or prove you wrong, just dont want any misinformation posted that would confuse already confused n00bs. I asked around, DR, shabby, Raccoon, etc, etc and got told the same thing, odin is samsungs tool. ;) I also google it myself when I first posted. ;)

are you able to get a copy of the stock ROM that we are able to push to the phones that are unable to be re-rooted after the FOTA push that occurred

I have a fully bricked LG Esteem. It's stuck in boot loop. The support tool for LG says it's up to date and wont fix anything.

I need either the original boot.img, or any way at all to push anything to the phone. The problem is that the phone won't stay on long enough for the computer to realize it's there :'[

I'm totally in need of any help possible.
