Ever been called FAKE iPhone?

The thing with people today, is that they have all become sheep rather than actual humans. They do and buy what is the "in" thing, get lost in the hype. Sometimes, they don't even have a clue on what are they buying.

An iSheep friend of mine, can't even justify his purchase on why he's "magical" iPhone is better than my DHD. He doesn't even know what the hell the specs are, he's just keep buying Apple products because it's "better". When you ask why it's "because".

The worst part is, they just follow and don't even think for themselves. If I wanted to fork a lot of money, I'd rather have a phone that I can hold what ever I want, not tell me what to do on my phone.

Have you ever tried doing what I do?

"If you have ten minutes spare, we can latch onto the same wifi network and do some tests then? I want to race you! But please, tell me you have the iphone4 are I'm bored of whooping the 3gs' arse when doing tests."

That's exactly why so many people buy iphone's. It's ideal for people who don't want to think. Apple tells them how to use it. They want to put music on their phone, itunes does it for them. It makes things easy for the less tech savvy. To be honest having an iphone is like having a bike with stabilizers.

I work with a bunch of older people. They just think it is an iPhone in the same way that all MP3 players are iPods :P

My workmate's missus was counting down her contract about the same time as me, hers ended a couple of weeks after mine. She had already stated she wanted an iPhone. It goes without saying, neither of them had actually done any research because when I had my Desire, they didn't know what it was. Nobody I work with did.

When I showed him what it could do and how much cheaper it was than the iPhone he said he would tell her about it so she could maybe change her mind.

Came back the next day "No she still wants the iPhone."

Of course the main reason was simply because of the brand. So she can go to work and everyone can see her iPhone "look at my iPhone" - the fact that she could have got a superior device for less money would be no good if none of her mates knew what it was!

If you seriously take offense of what people say of your phone, you're hardly any better than them tbh.
The iPhone is a very, very good device and comes with its pros and cons - just like Android devices. This whole argument is dumb.

To be honest, there is just so long that you can play dumb to not know what android is. Look at the recent result's in the U.S.

It just shows that people are becoming quite narrow minded when it comes to technology.

I guess the lack of multi tasking, dropped calls, apps that cost money on itunes but free on android, boring home pages, restrictive op system and missed alarms is getting to them

On twitter i read a story that a girl approached someone with the desire and told him: This is the new iPhone?? Oh, it's cool!!!

My iFriends say that desire is better but they keep/buy the iPhone for the simpicity and to showoff

This is it with iPhones - simplicity & the latter being coz all have got them.

Suppose some of its down to popularity...et al etc etc etc...

Everyone knows that apple computers are as they are...and would go good on a smaller medium.

What Google has to market is the fact of the customiseability, the openness of the software and the UI.

At the end of the day the iPhone does great things - very simply...

That seems to be enough for those who have them.

How is an iphone / pad simple? pages of little square boxes to hunt through. Buggy itunes that I have never got on with. People are told it's simple and believe, personally I find android far less of a pain to use straight out the box. Took me minutes to figure things out and didn't have four stressful hours with itunes like I did when setting up my mums ipad.

I respect apple alot for being excellent marketers, innovative at least with the first three generations of the iphone, but the desire has shown me that things can be better and android is in my honest opinion a better os than ios.

Android is now in second place behind rim in America and that's ahead of prediction - android will win out and all these I fans will jump ship with tegra 2 phones when games are brilliant on android.

Mr jobs will have to do something pretty amazing to fight off the android onslaught coming this year. Personally I hope he rises to the challenge.

The Iphone is like a Ferrari without an engine, looks good but does nothing.

I know plenty of people who have got rid of their Iphone for a Desire.

Apple cut thier own throats when they decided to do the hardware AND the software, they have nowhere else to go. Part of the genius with Android is that Google and Devs can concentrate on the software and OS, and leave hardware to the pros and multiple phone makers. Latching iphone to itunes was another mistake. Apple can now only continue to use high end specs in order to compete, and because of that they will, eventually, price themselves out of the market. Apple made their bed, and Google have peed all over it :)

it all boils down to the attitude and mindset of the majority of the apple users.

i am an ex iphone 3GS user. now im using a desire.

when i was an iphone user, I saw new phones/OS coming out, i did not keep comparing it to my iphone and keep having the mindset that my iphone is definitely better. instead i check out the new stuff and i am more open to more options and possibilities.

having said that, i read around the Internet and found out android OS and several HTC and motorla phone. i got interested in my findings, so i sold my 3GS and brought a desire to try the android platform.

i am glad differences exist in this world, if not life will be very dull. for my situation, i am glad android exist thus i am able to experience another platform apart from apple platform.

maybe in the future i will try out the windows 7 platform.

although we might be using different phones.. but we all have the common goal, that is to have fun and experience the best out of your phone.

I have a HTC Desire and an iPad (got the iPad cheap, otherwise price is over the top). I think both have their pros and cons, the main thing I like about the iOS is that everything seems to work so seamlessly on the iPad, the software is written for the hardware, and there is nearly 0 lag, things are so smooth. On my desire its not so smooth, but I can live with that, android is great, there is a great community working roms and I find that there are a lot of good apps free on android, and a lot of the devs on my android apps are constantly updating their apps for free and adding more features.

Having seen my Desire, one of my friends has changed to a Wildfire, one is soon going to buy the Desire HD, and another two have said their next phones will be Android. My work is done. :p

A lot of people buy on looks, sadly enough, and the iPhone has a more "accessible" look while most Android phones look more professional and less like a toy. Ironically, people prefer the look of a toy ......

Upstairs in our second office, one girl has an iPhone with those face jewelry stickers all over it and then it stopped working after just a year (bad battery ... like a lot of Apple crap) and when she sent it in, warranty got denied because, they said, the stickers caused the phone to overheat  Note: these stickers were only along the edge of the phone. Her boyfriend never liked iPhones and from what I hear, he's now forcing her to buy a proper Android phone instead.

Why are all Apple products prefixed with "i"?

I can only think it is for idiot as that is the only sort of person I can think of that will pay such a high premium for such an inferior product range.

Apple source out the cheapest labour on the planet from the most desperate people and then charge the consumer an exorbitant price. He has moved some if not all of Apple's manufacturing to Cambodia as China has become "too expensive".

Steve Jobs cries foul all the time yet he can do what he does to fellow humans?

So who really is the fake.

Cogs
Life was so much simpler in the '60's

Don't talk about your phone too much :) use it and be happy with what you've got. I, for one, would never trade my desire for anything else currently on the market.

iPhone is a great device and it used to be the best smartphone (no competition if you ask me), until the HTC Desire was born....

But if you really need some material to fight with iPhone users, show them these things on your Desire:
1) Car Mode
2) If you have AMOLED desire, put screen to max and display the same picture on both phones ;)
3) Swype
4) USB Drive upon USB connection to computer
5) T2 search for contacts (phone keyboard)
There's much more of course, but these are off the top of my head...
