EVO 3D case with Kickstand ..

would you buy a replacement back case with a kickstand

It is, isn't it? But it is very versatile. I looked at all of the different ways you could place your device...one picture even shows it mounted on a cabinet door handle. I thought it would be pretty easy to carry around and for 20 bucks it doesn't seem bad. Just wondered if anyone on the forum had tried it. I read about it in a magazine. This writer swears by hers.
 
Does anyone know if there will be a kickstand case that replaces the existing back cover? I really dislike cases in general because of the added bulk. It would be nice if the back cover was simply replaced with a back cover with attached kickstand.

Bestbuy is selling one called Platinum case or something like that and it has the kickstand. I was gonna get it but i want a holster too and the combo they sale doesn't have the kickstand which is kinda ******ed imo.

I thought that the official kickstand case for the Sprint HTC EVO 3D was canceled? That is what I had heard at least.

My wife loves the kickstand on her Sprint HTC EVO 4G. It is too bad our handsets do not have it by default.

Yeah according to goodandevo.net the Official HTC kickstand case has been canceled. Also reports of HTCpedia canceling orders from people who pre-ordered.
 
Does anyone know what that htc case was going to cost? it looks expensive?

And it seems like you either get to charge your phone while watching or you get easy volume control, but not both

Was $29.99 and it is CANCELLED. I got my email about 3 minutes ago cancelling my order. Way to go HTC! Been waiting 3 weeks for this and now I have to go with an alternative that puts the USB on the bottom:mad:..And HTC cancelled their case because theirs put the volume on the bottom. Big deal, my player enables volume control from the touch screen, so having that on the bottom was no big deal.
 
The stand can't change sides because some applications don't flip orientations. Also, the volume button will be on top when the kickstand is in use.

The case with the kickstand is the same thickness as our EVO 3D SURFACE case.

Same here.

Hopefully next year we get an Evo 3D 2 that has a kickstand, and the charging port is on the bottom of the device again.
 
i was wondering if you had an option to buy a replacement backcase with a kickstand for the evo 3d would you buy it instead of an external case with a kickstand so its not so bulky?
 
I would if i found one who's kickstand wasnt complete rubbish. Im usually a fan of seidio's cases, but the one that features a kickstand was very disappointing.
 
I would like to get a cover (with a kickstand) that would also cover the glass on the back for the lenses, and so far I haven't seen one like that. If only there were protectors for the glass on the back...

Totally agreed. I received my Seidio kickstand case the other day. It's great. It's much slimmer and better than my generic silicon case. But it doesn't protect the camera at all so I had to take it off. I'm now searching for some solution that will allow me to put it back on because I really like it. But I am not going to scratch my camera up for it.

Somewhat related rant: HTC dropped the ball, big time. This phone should have had a kickstand in the first place, so we don't need to add a case to get one. And it should have had much less camera glass, and the camera glass should have been recessed a bit to protect it from scratches. They got the camera glass right on the Sensation, which makes it even more baffling that they screwed it up on the Evo 3D.
