Root EVO 4g 2.3.5 rooting help

ok so now that you are up and running i would suggest that you try out mikg3.0. it is waaaaaaay better then stock and very fast and stable. it has sense 2.1 and sense 3.0 built in. try it out. you can get it here:http://androidforums.com/evo-4g-all-things-root/284413-roms-kernels-download-page.html. go to the gingerbread 2.3.3 sense 2.1 section for the download link. download the version 3.0, you can flash the tweaks later if you like.

as far as radios go that will be up to you. just make sure that you have at least one nandroid backup with wimax backed up and saved on your computer and even on the cloud like dropbox. here is just a word of warning on what could happen:http://androidforums.com/evo-4g-all...before-you-flash-your-radios-read-thread.html. do not let the warnings scare you as long as you have wimax backed up you are good to go.

also make sure that you have a full battery when you flash the radios. and whatever you do DO NOT PULL THE BATTERY OUT while it is installing that is a sure way to brick your phone.

and i would recommend that you switch to amon ra2.3 if you have not already. the link that mickey gave you has a switching recoveries section that will give you a step by step instructions on how to do it.

it also has a section on how to flash a rom.

well kernels is always gonna be YRMV. but try and start with the freedom kernel. you will need to use the universal version. and i would start out with the aggressive freedom and then work your way down that list. and if they do not work then try either the chopsuey or golden monkey kernels.

always give a kernel a few days for it to settle in, before moving on to the next kernel.
 
someone please help i have been trying to root for 7 months and i still cant its literaly driving me insane iv managed to achive S-OFF
HBOOT 6.16. 1002
Radio-2.15.00.12.19 but thats it and everytime i ask for help i just get sent to another form im new to this so can some one please help me
extra info :when i press the power button and volume down and press recovery a picture of my phone comes up and a triangle with a ! pleaseeeeee help

OMG that worked!!!!!!!!!! thank you guys soooooo much it took me sooooo long to do this and you guys did it in a couple of messages you guys are amazing !!!!!!!!
