Root Evo 4G Bricked? Or Something??

well my brother bought an evo 4g off of craigslist from some guy.
he wasnt able to delete the gmail account that was on the phone I dont know why! But I guess he couldn't, well anyways he just put the format the phone option. Now when it finished restoring, it just comes up with this

so now were like...WOW what happened so I did a little research and it turned out that the phone had that revolutionary thing installed

so now we are stuck on what to do to put it back to how it was...any help would be appreciated

ok so looks like your phone is rooted. click on recovery and see if you have access to it. if you do then in recovery wipe dalvik cache(found in the advanced option) and cache partitioned. if you get a red triangle then you have stock recovery which basically means that your phone is partially unrooted. you will then have to decide if you want it rooted or not. either way we can help you out with that.

Hey thanks for the response.
Ok I did what you said and it doesn't look like anything changed.
I could not find a red triangle anywhere and I guess im going to go with unrooted for now, may change my mind later xD
