Help Evo 4G charging problem

[Cazper8890]

Ok im having a problem with my Evo 4g everytime i connect the usb cable to any device while connected to the phone it shut the device off... the phone stays on and it charges with other usb chargers can this be a issue with the usb cable itself?

welcome to the forums!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
yeah i do not think that the usb port is designed to hook up with other devices like that. what device are you trying to connect to?
