Root Evo 4g root

Hey all, first post.

I rooted my evo a long while back but had to "unroot" it because i thought i had to send it to sprint for a warranty thing. Anyway, so now my phone is unrooted and i want to root it back! I went through the HTC Dev walkthrough and that was successfull, when i reach the bootloader it says "UNLOCKED" at the top, S-on. Here is where my problems begin. when I try to enter recovery, I get the black screen with the phone icon and red triangle with the '!' and when i installed Rom Manager it says that my phone isn't rooted. Are there more steps i need to take? Please help me out!

yep here is the guide you will need, http://androidforums.com/evo-4g-all...-rooting-gingerbread-2-3-5-dummies-guide.html. you need to be on step #2 "how to get recovery" of the HTCdev method.

please feel free to ask questions if you have them.
