Root evo 4g rooted 2.3.3 rebooting

No, actually I haven't tried any other ROMs. It rebooted again just now, no extra apps running, just sitting at 14% batt level, and power save mode. I just plugged in the charger then it froze. It takes a second to reboot itself after it freezes, almost as if the sense crashes. I'm guessing that very well could be attributed to the ROM. Since I was rebooting, I went ahead and did a nandroid backup following the cache and dalvik wipes, so I guess I'm now ready to try another ROM.
Quick reply there! Thanks for being so helpful!

yeah try a different rom then and see of you can get the same results. if that is the case then the next step would be try try a ruu found in the http://androidforums.com/evo-4g-all...es-guide-gingerbread-edition.html#post3078292 in the unrooting section. do not unroot just yet, but use the ruu in that section. if you still have the same results then use the s-on tool found in that section of the guide to fully unroot you and then take it in.

Your problem does sound kernel-related. Freedom is an undervolted kernel, so your device might not like it. Have you tired just using the stock kernel, and not overclocking, and see how that affects your stability? I bet your reboots will stop.

Ok, I waited a whole day after trying out one more thing last night after I posted. Since the last reboot happened while the phone quickly tried to change power saver mode off, and the ones before were also simple tasks, I tried changing the OC settings. I was guessing maybe the phone wasn't liking the big gap in frequency when handling simple tasks, or better yet, it wasn't stable enough to change the freq up and back down so quickly. I raised the min freq from 245mhz to 768mhz and kept the max at 1152mhz. So far, I think it likes the changes, no reboots!
I understand that the kernel I have now is even more undervolted than the one before, and the stock one. Weird thing is it seemed to reboot less with this one. I'll keep it as is for now, until/if it decides to develop issues again, then I'll try the stock one. If it can give me an extra 10min per charge I'll take it lol.
Thanks guys!
