I checked meid. It's right. I did a reset with##786# and reentered everything. I even double checked my donor phone info first. I did change the EVO's spc to the donor phone (should i change it back?) to see if that work but it didnt.

Still not able to call or do any updates. Data is not on WiFi because no WiFi around me. Using internet now... Don't understand...:confused: and apart info still not sticking...:mad:

You were right...it was the meid. I noticed on qpst while I was rechecking the info for the incognito. It didn't have the last 2 numbers.. (Had to slow down to speed up...:D) When I put the meid in qxdm (to write to Evo) I used the number from the back of the phone. So I redid everything and everything WAS working (including making calls & text). oh except..I still couldn't update prl or profile now error 1012.

Well this morning when I tried to make a call it says "authentication code could not be verified", I think it's because I let it do hands free activation and it said sprint. How can i fix this?

And my voicemail is not working...it doesn't show my number..It was showing my number before I changed the meid to the correct one. Hopefully this is all under one easy fix :D

Easy way is to log on to boost mobile website and update phone, use a boost esn that is not in use, 5 to 10 mins later put the donor esn back on
You may need to do a profile update after that to get 3g working again.

hey i was just able to do this on a samsung fascinate...now the phone always go to activation mode upon start up. i tried to go through reactivation but of course the system says the phone already exists on another account, etc.
so am i supposed to activate my phone?

is the samsung fascinate the phone you got the esn for your evo? once you put the esn into an evo you shouldnt turn on the original phone you got the esn from. you have to only have one phone on or else metro will notice it.
 
So I'm trying to do this to get my EVo Shift on Boost Mobile. It's more or less the same process (I did it for virgin mobile with no problem)

The problem, though, I'm having is the AAA Key.

I'm using a ZTE Warp as a donor phone, and the NV Items seem to have a lock on them...

whenever I do the requestnvitemread step, I get an error in QXDM.

Thoughts/suggestions?

Can I use CDMA workshop, save the NAI information for both AAA Keys, since they appear to be different if I read the guide correct? Or are they one and the same for profile 0 and 1?

Any help would be appreciated :D

actually the donor phone is a lg ms690 & i put the esn onto the samsung fascinate. it didn't matter if the lg was on or off, the fascinate is always booting into the activation mode. so the question is did i do something wrong that's why i'm getting the activation mode?

The phone will keep booting into activation mode until its able to successfully go thru activation. Try putting it in airplane mode and see if you can skip it and then it should work, if not I would recommend just activating any other metro phone on that account and then try to switch to the fascinate again

so i was downloading all the things i need and at least half of them got a virus report from my avast. im not even sure if i want to continue with this which sucks cause i really want to do it. even though its a really confusing guide it kinda sucks i cant trust the sources. a little help would be nice too from someone who did this before and would like to help out a little to beginner flasher

I am a total noobie in this entire area and have the follolwing situation and questions. I currently do not have a cell phone. I would like to purchase an HTC EVO 4G from Craigslist and use it on Boost Mobile. As I understand the threads on this subject, am I correct to understand that I have to do or have the following:
WIndows XP - I have Windows Vista
Donor Phone - I do not have a cell phone at all. Does this mean that I have to purchase a phone (new or used) originally from Boosts network on top of the HTC EVO phone I am looking to purchase? If I make my purchases from EBay for both phones, how do I make sure each is functioning properly (Clean ESN ,etc.)? Once again, thanks for your time in reading my message.

Ok I answered in reply to your pm but I will put it here for any others that may be curious.
32bit windows vista may work, though I think that is such a crappy O/S that it may just freak out on you and not work. However 32bit windows 7 home premium will work just fine.
You will need a donor phone, I checked local craigslist, I picked up my incognito for $40.
When buying from ebay more pics are usually better, showing both condition and if possible while its on showing a working phone. though ebay can be good about getting your money back on bad items.
ESN if they tell you what it is can be checked to make sure its a good esn, though if you buy a evo with a bad esn it wont be a problem because the esn will be changed anyway.

Okay, did everything and I made the folder under the root, and did the reboot and went the nvm/num, the dragging doesn't work and I also tried to copy and gives me an error code 222 invalid argument. What to do now? So basically step 10 is where I am now.

what version of android do you have on your phone?

and what O/S does your computer have?

Okay, I did some googling about the error and I installed QPST 2.7 build 366 and the dragging out of EFS worked! zeroed out in win hex. The dragging back into EFS I received the same error, so i right clicked and copy from pc for both files and it worked!

Did a adb reboot and check the ESN and MEID, and they are all zeroes!!!! Finally. Thanks again new optimus! I almost there now!

question, my ha shared is 6 characters long and aaa password is 10 characters from my incognito, at least that's what I saw when I saved the information from QXDM. Does this sound correct?

By the way, the 3d way of zeroing out esn and meid was way easier!

your AAA is 32 alpha numeric and the HA is 12 alpha numeric

not quite, there is profile 0 and profile 1

you will have the standard generic HA for both 0 and 1 that number is going to be the same
then profile 0 will have a 32 digit AAA KEY and profile 1 will have the 12 digit key

thats normal, every htc I have seen does that, just hit ok, and ignore it.

that does not affect what it is supposed to do.
