EVO availability for sprint employees and advantage club

Wow this sucks.
Yeah I havent received anything. And I just checked with my sponsor and he hasnt received anything either. I just have a copy of the order and a 6 digit order id.
Did you guys choose to pay for the phone with a credit card or to bill to your Sprint account? Was it a new account? I know this sounds dumb, but I cant think of any other reason why I havent heard anything.

I think it just takes some time... I am sure you're good to go. :)

I billed to my account, because I didn't feel like looking up card information at midnight.

Purchasing in stores= CAN ONLY PURCHASE AT HEADQUARTERS STORES, (meaning stores that are built into company property, that customers cannot access, these stores are for employees only and do not help customers.)

The Leawood, KS Town Center Plaza Sprint store is open to the public and will sell to Advantage people. It's one of the two places KC area Advantage people are allowed to go for service (the other one is the store on the Sprint campus itself).

Are there places in other states?

Phone was ordered by my rep at 12:16pm (eastern) on 11-02-2010. I received a order number that is 6 digits. Not sure if this order number is able to be used to track my order through the sprint website or not. I am having the same issue (xswzaq)was having. Also anxious about getting my new phone because my blackberry sold on ebay in 25 minutes, and I have to ship it out to some guy in florida ASAP. If phones are shipping out of Kentucky then i should get mine next day (im in Ohio).

Glad to hear others are getting order confirmation, and tracking info. It shows progress.

Did anyone do express shipping? I did but my rep put it in as standard shipping. Did not know if this actually helped get the phone sooner.

The only other one I know of is Reston, VA.

Disclaimer: I am not a Sprint employee. I have no direct access to the gospel according to Sprint; I only get my information from my stepmom who is an employee.

my gf's account is on the $30/mo employee plan (500mins) with the htc DIAMOND...is it possible if i could give her my evo on a regular family plan and have it activated on her employee plan?

You mean that you'd be swapping phones? Yep, as long as both phones are clean. She would pay more per month for the EVO (I am assuming she is SWAC).

I think I have the same question as a few others. I am a SWAC member. My sponsor ordered my phone yesterday, and she forwarded me the order confirmation email with the 6-digit confirmation number. Is there any way I can track anything with this number? Or do I just need to keep checking with her? I tried the Advantage Club web site, but couldn't find anything there that would let me see the order status.

The email I received says "To check order status, visit the Advantage Club site and click on the "Order Status" tab. You will need the employee email address on the order and the order number." I can't find an "Order status tab" anywhere.

You need to check this site: www.Sprint.com/myorder.

You input your reference shipping number, not the 6-digit order number. The reference number is a funky combination somewhere in the body of the email below the ship to address.

The order number won't give you anything. The reference shipping number will. It looks something like: xxxx-O-xxxxxxxx

Tre - Thanks. I think that's my problem then. I just have the first email with the order number. That email says that once the order is processed there will be a second email that contains the shipping reference number. Haven't received that yet, so either my sponsor is slacking (certainly possible, or even probable), or she just hasn't received it yet. Until then, I guess I'm just waiting (im)patiently.

I've been watching the progress of the Supersonic/Evo since January, and have been eligible for an upgrade since March. I've waited this long, but these last few days are excruciating.

Did you do expedited shipping or standard? I signed up for expedited but my sponsor did not input it that way.

Did anyone else do standard shipping and is killing them self with anticipation to get the shipment notification?

I have no idea. My sponsor took care of everything. I didn't see anything on my email that indicated anything other than standard shipping.

If you are on a SWAC account meaning you are not an employee you DO NOT get expedited shipping. Its 2-5 day shipping for us lil people. Only employees can get the faster shipping. Man I think this EVO delay to SWAC peeps has caused some serious anxiety issues LOL :D

FYI: My wife ordered her Epic at 11:07 CST on Monday, November 2, just moments after Sprint allowed employees and SWAC members to order the Epics and the EVO. She received confirmation that her order had shipped early this morning and, lo and behold, the Epic arrive this afternoon at our doorstep.

Best of luck to everyone ordering their EVOs!

Whoa... fast!!!!

Here is my time line: (all times PST)
11/2 - 8:38 got my invitation from my sponsor to buy my Evo online.
11/2 - 10:58 got my order confirmation from Spring saying "Your order request details have been submitted to your Sprint Employee Sponsor.
11/2 - 11:16 got the email from my sponsor saying "approved".
11/3 - 7:11 nothing yet, no email with my shipping information.

I chose Standard shipping, and rush delivery WAS an option. Now i wish i had chosen rush, maybe that would have put my order in line to be shipped the second I ordered it. But now I figure my order has been pushed to the bottom of the "rush delivery" pile, so hopefully once those people get theirs sent, the rest of us standard shipping people will get ours sent based on our order time.

I didn't pick rush... I picked standard. There was a lag, but it is showing due on Friday.

My paranoia is running wild. So my delivery is set for tomorrow (UPS of course). Now that I look outside I realize its raining and will be tomorrow as well. What are UPS' policies about inclement weather? Am I right to assume that they will just leave it at my door since I wont be home (i.e. no sig required)? Will they put it in some kind of waterproof wrap? Sorry, its just that I'm so close to finally getting the Evo after starting this thread months ago that Im beginning to become paranoid.

I chose Standard shipping said:
I also saw a shipping method for rush delivery which i was going to pay an extra 12 bucks for. However, when my sponsor put it into the system he did not put in the rush order. Now im stuck waiting. I sold my blackberry on ebay (in 25 minutes of posting it), now i have to tell the guy to wait until i get my evo, which could be next week. I guess i will just have to wait and see how this goes. Congrats to all who have their Evos. Best of luck to those in my shoes.

Well, even though I don't have an Evo yet, and I don't when it will even be shipped, I went ahead and ordered the battery below. I figure now that I should be getting my Evo within the next 3 weeks (hopefully only 1) that I should be prepared as much as possible to use it all day.

The link is to the ebay seller that many people on these forums have been talking about and have ordered from. The battery is also supposed to take anywhere from 3-4 weeks to be delivered.

I doubt that UPS would leave a parcel sitting in a torrential downpour. That said, most cardboard boxes in which merchandise ships is sturdier than it looks. The cardboard is almost always two-ply and, as long as the edges of the flaps are taped well, the inside of a box acts like a hermetic container of sorts.

When I worked at UPS years ago, I was always surprised at how well people's items were protected by cardboard boxes. The boxes themselves were often punctured with small holes and were filthy from transit. But the interior of the boxes always maintained the integrity of the merchandise being shipped. Of course, some bubble wrap or styrofoam peanuts never hurts either.

Most of the people I know got theirs yesterday here in Atlanta....and they're ALL blowing my phone up for me to come show them how to work it lmao. Most of them came from basic phones or palm centros and are completely lost. One told me she's only gotten as far as turning it on.:D
