So the Evo decided to not work all of a sudden. Was not installing apps or anything, but now the screen refuses to turn on. I've tried battery pull several times, and it STILL won't show anything on the screen. The backlight is on, the phone is working (I can hear the startup sounds, etc.) but I can not see the screen. Haven't seen any solutions online other than "pull the battery" and really hoping I can fix this without having to go to Sprint.

you can try and do a factory reset.
