Evo blowing past the normal 30 FPS!

The XDA team continues to produce results where HTC has failed. The latest kernel recently released by netarchy delivers full functionality (cameras, stability, good battery life, overclocking) and an FPS rate approaching the capabilities of the hardware.

The difference between 55fps and 30fps on this phone is stunning. My son--who is an avid gamer--explained it to my wife this way:

Imagine a picture book you flip through to generate animation in 1 second. If you have 30 pages, you will see motion, but the quality of motion isn't as fluid if the book has 55 pages. (30 fps vs 55 fps).

There are more than aesthetics involved here. Now imagine that picture book is a web page. When you scroll up or down with 55fps, the text scrolls more fluidly and your eyes can maintain focus on the content you're reading more easily.

Anyway, here are the results. While the std dev is a little higher than I'd like, I haven't started tweaking with EVO Switch. This is from a straight flash of netarchy's 3.6.3 kernel.
