Help Evo has a wierd home screen...?

Alright so my uncle has the Evo, and I have the Inspire. I have the HTC clock and apps and junk on my home screen and I can leap around between them, but my uncle (with the Evo) has only apps on his home screen and his scrolls horizontally, he has no home screen (and no big HTC clock) and I figured this was just because it was a different phone. My friend got the Evo, and his is just like my Inspire with the HTC clock and leaping and stuff. My uncle tried an android update, but he's up to date....Does anyone know what the problem might be?

Did he install a launcher??

Look for adw.launcher, launcher pro, or go launcher in his apps.

Alternatively he could have just removed the clock.

What do you mean by he has no home screen?

he has deleted his clock...and all of them scroll horizontally ... when presses the home button it should leave the screen he is on and go "home" but he deleted that it sounds like. re add it by long pressing the screen and choosing widgets...then clock


it's possible he is using a home replacement app... which would work differently


when he holds down the home button all 7 screens should minimize to a quick view of them all so that he can leap here and there

like his home screen is just his apps page, yet instead of a vertical scroll, he has several app pages that scroll horizontally...
And I doubt he has any launcher since he's not that technologically advanced...haha I'll ask.

nevermind...He said he DID get rid of the big clock and his home screen is black because it uses less power to light up...haha
