Evo might get swapped For a Galaxy

I do believe it has been shown that super AMOLED resolves the issue of the screen being useless in sunlight. Super AMOLED is suppose to be perfect in sunlight...
 
Wow that Galaxy S Pro is sounding pretty good. If it comes out before my 30 days on the Evo are up I just might pull a switcharoo.

I know Sprint won't do that though. They know better than to release this phone less than 30 days after the Evo.

Hopefully full retail price won't be too bad on the Galaxy S Pro.

Please keep us updated on your decision! I for one will have trouble sleeping not knowing if you will take your Evo back or not. We are all on pins and needles.
 
I've heard a lot more problems with Samsuck phones than HTC ones. Plus the Galaxy doesn't have the great design the Evo does. aka looks like crap (IMHO, of course)
 
I'm having trouble with this as well. The Samsung might not have major issues but the EVO does. There's a grounding issue that is most likely a hardware problem, the audio recording quality when shooting hd sucks horribly.....the fact that I have to be connected to wifi just to upload a 1min video!.......these are deal breakers for me

Umm not great in the sun? This is superAmoled, not Amoled. It's suppose to be great in sunlight
 
Whatever the next great Android device is that comes to Sprint, i'll be getting it to stand side by side with my Evo. I run two lines for myself (for work reasons), and am still looking for something awesome to put on my 2nd line.
 
There will be a better phone after the samsung phone, also there will be issues with the samsung phone. Sorry OP but new phones will constantly be on the horizon, oh yea, and holiday time will have more phones and phones on sale.
 
Are there video players for the EVO that will play xvid/divx files, or do you have to convert them?

Is there a work around for not being able to upload video files unless on a 4G connection?

It's not the processor, it's the software. Rockplayer for example does a much better job than yxplayer (hasn't been yxflash for a while).
 
So you're not having any problems currently, but you're going to return your phone, because some other people are?

Talk to behold 2 owners how happy they are with Samsung and their lack of support. They're stuck with 1.6 with no chance of 2.1 or Froyo. I wouldn't buy another Samsung phone without a guarantee of an update at least one beyond Froyo.
 
More choices - great. Would I buy a Samsung - no. Just think I'd prefer a company that really primarily focuses on mobile phones. Phones have always seemed like just another branch/division of mega-Samsung, and that's why I don't think they get OS updates and other fixes rapidly.
 
Mods, why is post in the Evo section. Please move it to the Galaxy section where someone might care.
 
Sorry, all samsung will ever be good for is making good flip phones. As an ex-cell phone retailer for 4+ different carriers, samsung will never be good in producing smartphones. The EVO is great bottom line so just buy it. You hear people with complaints and then you hear people with no complaints. Just remember 30 DAY money back guarantee!

Oh crap and I think maybe a restocking fee, but only because you will be returning an awesome phone, so I think its like "Are you an idiot for returning this phone Fee" :D
