Help Evo not syncing/updating, any tips?

Seems like ever since i did the update, my EVO has not been syncing or updating any accounts, email or anything. Has anybody else had this problem or heard anything about this problem???? Also in order to do a hard reset, how do I back up all my files ( pics, music, apps)?

I don't know but I just realized nothing is syncing on my EVO neither. It says hasn't synced since 1/29 and my Google contacts say July 28th. Nothing will move or sync it does nothing. Sometimes it says sync is down but something is wrong. I think that is why my word feud notifications quit. I called HTC and they had me do a PRL update then that didn't work and they said call Sprint to re provision your phone and that didn't work neither. They want me to do a hard reset and I don't want too. I hate to lose everything. My contacts are backed up and I synced my apps with app brain but I have so much more on my phone. How do I back it all up? I am gonna wait a few days and hope it ends up working. I did a battery pulll too. When I click sync all nothing happens..

Have you tried removing all sync accounts and re adding them. Keep in mind that in order to remove the google accounts you will need a second temporary google account (i think) it may actually require a hard reset to clear that one out.

also, go in to a sprint store and have them reprovision in store and see if that helps

Thanks for your reply! It was so weird but Sprint did reprovisioned my phone. I did everything. You can't remove Google though without hard resetting. So then I googled my problem and someone said elsewhere that there contacts only quit synching and mine hadn't syched since 7/28. But the answer for that person was to go to running apps and contact storage and clear data so I did that and it wiped out my contacts and they all came back and then everything just started synching again. I was so glad. I really didn't want to have to hard reset my phone. And now I know why my game Word Feud the notifications quit working. But I', all good now. So I'm glad I found that out. Wonder why Sprint or HTC didn't know that and told me I was going to have to hard reset. I've never had everything stop synching before just my contacts had stopped but now It's all working good. My EVO wont Sync again. It hasn't synced since 11pm 2 nights ago. I click Sync all and it won't do anything. I am hoping whatever I did before works again. I had to google to find it cause I remember posting it somewhere and it was here. But it fixed this persons problem where conatacts only weren't syncing which had been my problem at 1st. But if made everything sync when I did it a couple weeks ago so lets hope it works again.

Edit: Rebooted and nothing still will sync it's weird. Worked last time. Now my contacts are gone from clearing data under contact storage. Maybe I should clear data under calendar storage too. I think I saw that under running apps. Maybe that will help to make everything sync again. Gonna reboot once more and do a battery pull. My contacts got backed up on sd card last time plus there still on google so lets hope I start syncing again. I really don't want to do a hard reset.

it sounds like you may be having 3g connection issues

Web Pages load just when I click Sync all nothing happens. I shouldn't of cleared datat under contacts storage cause now when I go uner import from sd card to phone to get my Google contacts back it shows them importing but they don't come up in the end at 100% nothing is in my list. When I check mark phone they are there. Sprint said I need to take my phone into the store that it is syncing software issue or something. One person said HTC know about problem and there is an update but I went under update and there wasn't an update.

I'm calling HTC back tomorrow before I go into store. Sprint reprovisioned my phone again tonight and my contacts started coming back then stopped and nothing would sync at all still and all my contacts weren't there most were but I cleared data again knowing there backed up on SD card but they wont come up from sd card. It's weird I click Sync all and nothing happens.

HTC recommends I hard reset my phone. They said it also could be a Google problem cause the error message came up again that said Sync is experiencing problems be back shortly with the ! icon. She told me to contatc Google. And I told her i had no contacts well mine are all linked as phone and google and when I go to sd card to import as Google it shows all 98 coming over and there on my gmail on my pc but they won't come back to phone. But when I did the same import and chose phone instead of Google they came back. So under view and checxking phone contacts are there but checking Google there not I have a blank contact list. And i told her for some reason FB and twitter synced on 2/23 and wont sync now but google still hasn't synced since 2/21. Someone said get my back up and take a screen shot if all your screens. My apps are all synced with appbrain so is that all I need to have my apps backed up. I'm still going into the Sprint store my next off day but I probably will have to hard reset but I hope not.

Edit Ok, My problem is fixed. I googled more about my problem and chose Android phones not syncing instead of just EVO. Turns out when your phone has the notification low on disk space it won't sync. I deleted a big app rebooted and low disk space message went away and I started syncing. Too bad Sprint and HTC didn't know to tell me this..
