Here lately I have been having alot of trouble with my power button. No matter if I push it easy, hard or in a different spot it just doesn't work very well anymore. I have an app that I can use the search button on the bottom to turn it off. Any suggestions to one that can turn the screen on. Also any suggestion on what to do to fix it. I could open it up but would rather avoid that if possible.

Help Evo on and off button.

the only thing that i can see you doing is take the phone in to get that fixed.
Previously I posted I had a problem with the Evo power button, it would work if hit several times to turn on or off.
When I was a field tech and had to work on Keno Pc's the power buttons on the PC's would stick and not function properly. What I would do is take the PC and turn it where the power button is upright and put a few drops of Nye Oil in the power button, so it would go down into the button and push it off and on a few times.
I did the same thing to my EVO power button and it works like a charm now! Just don't put a bunch of it on the button. Just put a drop and work it where it will go down around the button and work the button a few times, then add more drops till it starts working properly, then wipe the excess off.
Now this is what the guy that ordered the oil for us called it, but not sure if that is actually the techinical term for it. I am sure that any lubricant that wont harm electronics would work.
