Root Evo Port Test ROMs | Droid Incredible

Best ROM I've used for far, thanks for all your hard work adrynalyne. Linpack 35-41, Quadrant 1200s. Had a 1377 Quadrant, best I've ever seen on my phone.
 
Installed it off your other link and still can't get it to work. It will install but does not show up anywhere in the application menu
 
I don't know for sure. When I have more time, I will decompile the apk and see if I can delve which part of the framework controls it.

I tried installing that zip, and it installs OK. But now when I send an SMS, it just hangs at "loading", however it does send the SMS. Also, the SMS does not show up in my list :confused:

Adrynalyne, if I installed the OTA update that you posted on 7-16 do I have to revert back or just upgrade from that to this ROM? I have the Mobile hotspot, 720P camcorder and new radio when I did the OTA update. I just dont want to brick the phone. I have reverted back from the OTA update so I know that it is not hard to do.

I am having the same problem. Download the mms HTC patch from second wave thread. It appears to send texts but will not send pictures. Tried using handcent as atemp fix but got same result.

I am going to reflash use the stock messaging for this rom until a fix for HTC messaging that will send mms pics and video.
 
Okay so there is something up with my phone and I do not know if its this rom our not. My phones brightness keeps dimming and returning to normal, its not a huge dim but its annoying as hell! I'm going to reboot and see if that fixes it other wise I might have to restore my nandroid to see if that fixes it
 
I can receive but not send MMS with the Beta ROM. They appear to go out but are never received by the recipient.

ALSO if Adrynalyne can fix the Wiimote controller app in this or any other Sense ROM he will be given GOD status FYI ;) Description of why it doesn't work from the dev,


"unfortunately, the default HTC rom uses the proprietary bluetooth stack that HTC developed (instead of using the default in android, called bluez). That proprietary stack doesn't support the type of bluetooth connection that is needed to connect to a wiimote. So there is no way this will ever work with the current versions of HTC android devices, stock. Apart from flashing a custom (vanila) rom, there is just no way to make bluez working without flashing.

I just noticed while mine was sitting in my desk charger that it was doing the same thing too....
 
Getting FC with Astro File Manager. I really need this to work.

Nevermind. Just reinstalled it and it works.
 
So I started off fresh and reflashed the beta and wiped data. This time I did not apply the HTC patch found in the 2nd wave thread. Unfortunately I still can't send sms pics. Force closes while sending. Using handcent yields same result.
 
adrynalyne, First off I have to say this rom is awesome. Now here is my question. I may be the only person out there that uses backup assistant to sync my contacts, so is there a way to add it back in with a patch or an APK?
I've searched around but haven't had much success finding anything.
 
adrynalyne, this really is the BEST ROM I've tried so far and yeah, the only set back is that I'm having the same results as GrandMasterB regarding the MMS.

Not flaming you at all, just saying thanks and also that maybe this can start as a trend report for the MMS.

Oh man my phone is dimming again. I think I might have to revert back to my nandroid. How many others are experiencing this problem? Its definitely noticeable in the browser
 
Anyone have any luck using any of the Hydra Kernels with this? Would love to see that implemented, not sure if that's something Adrynalyne could look into or something that the Dev of the Hydra Kernels needs to fix.
