Root Evo Port Test ROMs | Droid Incredible

Does this rom use the HTC dialer and contacts, or vanilla? I really don't like the htc versions! Thanks for all the work!

Yes, this is a Froyo ROM with HTC Sense. It is basically what the EVO will be getting in a few days, except maybe they would have a newer version of some sort.

Dang, I can't handle the HTC contacts and dialer. Thanks for the info though!
 
Problem found in V1: Internal memory doesn't mount when mounted as USB to PC. Downloading V2 right now.
 
Then this rom is obviously not for you.

Honestly, I don't understand the reason for having a Dinc if you dislike Sense. I would never buy a phone if I didn't like the software that came with it.
 
We need the mod to change the title to something that would tell the folks about this ROM because we need more people to test this out.

I thought the evo version sense could be disabled? That still doesn't give us the stock dialer/contacts/phone?

Honestly, I like 90%+ of sense, but there are a few things that drive me crazy also related to the dialer/phone/contacts.
 
This ROM is awesome so far. Great memory management and runs very smooth and fast. I highly recommend that everyone tries this out, lol. Great job!

Over on xda, they had a script posted that would auto run and mount the internal memory in the SD card folder. Not sure if that would be helpful or not but might be worth checking out.

Only rosie. you cannot disable other apps.
 
Downloading V2 now and I'll play with it for a bit and report back any bugs I find. Is there a list of known bugs for V2 yet?
 
So far all I have found is that internal memory isn't mounted to USB.
Also, settings crashes at various points when trying to access EVO/Sprint settings (4G, hotspot, roaming network, etc).
