EVO Shift v Epic

My wife is due for an upgrade from her Moment, which she hates, and wants a 4G phone with a physical keyboard, so I guess these are the options on Sprint. Are you all happy with your Epics? Any thoughts on one over the other?

Very happy with our Epics here. If you want a Front Facing Camera (say, for video chat), then the Shift doesn't have one. If you want a smaller form factor, some people think the Epic is a little bulky. But you should definitely go to the Sprint store and try out both to see which fits your style.

New phones will be out in a few months, right? To answer the question, very happy with the Epic, especially now it's finally gotten updated to 2.2.1.

tell her to get the Epic 4G. i personally love it. i too was one that upgraded back at the beggining of January to my Epic and love it. the Moment doesnt even compare to it and battery life is way better.

ive been one of the lucky ones who hasnt had any problems with my phone what so ever and i updated the software and still works flawlessly.

I would NEVER have a physical keyboard w/out a number key row. That is easily one of the best features of the Epic.

Have nothing bad to say about my time with the Shift. I'm already used to using the fn key for #'s coming from Palm. But I still prefer the Epic and actually just sold my Shift. While the epic might have a larger footprint, it is the same weight and thickness as the Shift so take that into consideration too. Also didn't think the Shift's screen was even as nice as the Evo's, so it takes a couple steps back from the larger Evo, though the processor is no slouch.

There are comparison threads on both products forums already so a little search under each would prove helpful.
