Help EVO stuck In boot loader loop, wont reboot

AKKernan

Lurker
I had my last evo rooted but broke the screen so i got a new evo, i backed up 3 kernels. I just went to root my new one and like i guess i ran the unrevoked twice and when one was done i unplugged it, now it wont reboot out of the bootloader, took out battery, wiped cache, did everything i could think of, my kernels wont restore. i need help. please

i can mount usb though

does it say that you have "s-off" on your hboot? or can ya even get that far?
Is all youre trying to change the kernel? Not install a custom rom? In either case, id recommend any of the following 3 things. You can either try recovering from a nandroid you hopefully made b4 diong all this, or try re-installlllllllling the stock rom from the all things root section thread called rooting for dummies, and see what that gets ya, or just say the hell with the stock rom, download any of the sense based roms (if youre going the sense route, I recommend Konis ESIII, its super slick lookin, fast and Konikub just does a bang up job with ALL his roms) and go from there... it sounds to me like you have a corrupt install, or has become corrupted BY YOUR EVIL NATURE!!!! Buah haw haw haw!! jk anywho, any of those 3 syggestions should work, and as a sidenote, get caulkins wipe all.... its a zip file that you flash just like a rom thatll do all the proper wiping you need to reinstall without a hitch, and when youre up and running, DO A NANDROID BACKUP!! sorry for yelling, but as you can see, its a pretty important thing to do, cuz if you had one, youd not be in this perdicerment. Hope that helps, and if i sound mean, its not intentional, just a touch of sarcasm ta make ya smile and know that ive been in your shoes ;)

i have full acess to the bootloader but i did the unrevoked method so there is no s-off and like i have back ups, but for some reason the only thing it wont back up is the boot image

Are you trying to restore from one of your nandroid b/u's from your precious evo? If so, I REALLY wouldn't do that. Get a rom on your SD card, wipe and install. Get it up and running, b/u, then start dinkin with other stuff
