Ok, This is going to sound way lame. I came across a Sprint HTC evo given to me with a cracked screen. I am currently on Verizon and need a new phone. I've been reading a few posts that mention I could unlock the HTC to Verizon but only as a prepaid phone? Is this correct? My next question, I don't need the smart phone capabilities or 4g or 3G. I have a basic phone right now and am fine with it. With the evo, I can still connect to wifi, too. Can I switch it to Verizon as a basic phone?

well basically if you want the evo flashed to to verizon you will need to get a verizon donor phone and cdma workshop. you will then use cdma workshop to changer the esn and radios to verizon. now how to do that exactly? good question. it is one that i can't answer as i have never done flashed a phone to another network like that. it will not be easy and there is a lot of steps involved.
