Help EVO wont focus properly.....

My new EVO as well as my boss's, will not focus right. I first noticed this when he frist got his about 8 months ago. I had BB with 5mp and had a car accident. He showed up to pick me up and we were taking pics of the license and insurance for the other party. My BB did it PERFECTLY. And I mean PERFECT. His was taking fuzzy pics you couldnt read. Now I got one about 8 wks ago and its always done that too. It's not a dirty lense, or a prot film. It does it's "focus thing" and it comes into perfect focus, but then passes it up and settles off-focus. Moving it or tapping the screen, causes it to re-focus, but it does the same thing. Both phones. (He has 4 EVOs, and says it does it on all of them) WTF?? How can I make this work right? He has had the EVO since it was first released and was always bragging. I got to say "haha my BB takes way better pics" But now the rabbits' got the gun and its not funny anymore....

That's a strange issue. Are you running everything stock? I'd just take it into Sprint. This problem should be easily reproducible in front of a rep. They should take care of you.

turn off auto focus...long press on the screen to take pictures...and keep lighting and distance in mind ...too close and poor light = unfocused blurry pics

Yea mine does that too I have too double tap the screen the it focuses right and goes back to blurriness

Oh and change metering to spot and turn off face detection
