Help evo's tethering

So after 10 or so times I finally got the sync manager to download to the pc and it worked once. Now in tethering mode it won't connect and I get a Sprint pcs registration error. Spent 2 hrs on the line with Sprint to no avail. Anyone?

Are you paying for it? You need to pay for it, otherwise it will give you that error. If you dont want to pay, you can get PDANet which will tether via usb, or root and you can do wifi tether for free.

Its so easy a cave man could do it. Sorry, i had to.

But in all honesty i was scared to root my phone up until last week. I used Unrevoked method and it took all of 5 minutes and 1 click. It couldnt have been any easier.

Since then iv remained stock but have removed Bloatware via Titanium and also added the wireless tether app and it has worked like a charm.

Are you trying to tether ie share your internet connection or sync? They are two seperate functions


Tethering is not free. It requires a monthly fee to sprint.


To sync plug ur phone into pc.....when the connection popup comes up on your screen select sync
