EVP Delivery Dates

So if I was to get one at the Sprint store tomorrow and then EVP says your order has been shipped or processed can I still deny it from UPS and send it back? I don't want my sprint account getting charged twice. I called sprint customer care and they said just deny it. EVP said the store may not let me get one if the order has been processed cause they will see that I already used my upgrade. Sprint Customer care said I should be ok that it won't show up right away on my account I don't know.

I would take a chance and do the Sprint store route and deny the box, I believe EVP will bill your account once it ships, but I doubt it will show up in sprints system right away, being they are a 3rd party retailer and everything in sprints system takes a few hours to update anyways.

Edit: And don't you work overnight? Maybe it was you, but anyways if you do, you would be first in line.
 
I said screw EVP not worth it to wait til Monday with all the cost. You would be better off ordering it online though Sprint / or telesales or just waiting in line at the Sprint store IMO.
 
I know this may not mean much, but they have taken the Evo off preorder on the EVP site. It's now available for regular ordering. I assume this means that they can now officially place the orders through Sprint.... :p
 
Just canceled my EVP order. Mandy said not Saturday delivery. I'd rather order online and save $30. Between the $12 shipping and the $18 upgrade I just can't see ordering from them. I guess I'll just order tomorrow from Sprint online and get free shipping and upgrade. Of may go by the Sprint store when I get off work. Don't think they'll have any though b/c the guy said they were going to have people camping out. Oh well - Monday I guess.

Doubt it yet...if they could officially place the orders through sprint now we'd start receiving our shipment notifications...their prolly just prep'ing the website for tomorrow...
 
That's what the sprint customer care rep said he said just go to the sprint store and try to get one and my account shouldn't show anything yet and then deny my package on Monday or Saturday if it does come Saturday. But I work nights and go to bed late and won't be going to the store too early so I hope I get one.

Oh and I work 2:30-11 so I get home at night around 11:30. I work 2nd shift. It's just I get home and stay up for a couple hours and go to bed late and sleep till 9 or 10.

I was thinking of cancelling my evp order but my rep said that she was told that Sprint stores can't give you an EVO tomorrow if it is for an upgrade. She told me that since I am upgrading my phone they would order it and have it delivered to me. Anyone else told that?

That's bs! I am getting my Evo in the morning, and they did not say that. Doesn't make any sense.

They are probably getting desperate due to the fact that people are canceling by the droves.. lol
 
If EVP ships your phone, then it'l show in the Sprint system that your rebate has been used. You'll have to pay full price for another one. EVP absorbs your rebate the moment its shipped.
 
My third party store said in order for me to bill my account it would have to be on an ordered phone. My regular sprint store and sprint customer care said I should be ok to go in the store and get one and that since I chose overnight with EVP that it shouldn't be in the system yet. He said oh your showing now as being due for upgrade well DUH I knew that. But he said I should be ok but noone knows and I am thinking I could be ok if I got there before my order was shipped. But like EVP told me there is 400 preorders and who knows where I am in line and when tomorow it will get processed. But no you can physically go into a store and get one if they have it. They don't have to order it for you just cause your an upgrade customer. But if your order was alread p rocessed through EVP then your upgrade may not show up. I'm debating whether to try to get up real early or not.

Any news from anyone? So far no emails or shipment confirmation on my end. Was very tempted to cancel and get one from the Sprint store but who knows how many people would be lined up (if any) to get one of these.
 
I know I called sprint tonight and the customer care rep said well I can call you tomorrow and see if it's still showing your eligible for your upgrade or not and if it's still showing eligible you can go to a sprint store. But who knows if thee going to have them or not. Wish I could just go to UPS and get it.. But you can't set that up until you have a tracking # and I don't have one.

Nothing so far. I'm never doing business with these clowns again.
 
If they ship using Fedex Home Delivery (Fedex ground but for private residences) they do deliver on Saturdays but are closed (no deliveries) on Mondays.
 
I think I'm cancelling my order. I just spoke to UPS and he said next day air is one day in transit and if it's shipped on Friday it won't probably be sorted till that night and won't go out till Monday and that we will get them on Tuesday. He said next day air something about one day in transit and he said they only ship on Saturdays for 15 bucks more and there has to be an orange sticker on there from Sprint. And I asked about if I got my tracking number early could I just go to UPS and get it tomorrow and he said just cause it ships out from warehouse tomorrow doesn't mean it will be sorted from UPS right away. He said that they usually sort at night so he said for me to expect it on Monday and others Tuesday. He said that Monday would be the one business day in transit but I would probably get mine Monday cause of warehouse here. He said they deliver Mon-Fri and Sat is 15 bucks more with a orange sticker. I'm just relaying what I was told. So I guess I'm hitting the Sprint store tomorrow. I just don't want to wait till Monday since I am off this weekend. One girl told me one store was getting 200 in but I don't know if that's true.

Well, here we are. 1:26am EDT. The EVO is up for sale everywhere including on sprint.com where people can buy it and get it shipped for Monday, and we don't even have an e-mail from EVP to let us know they're even working on our orders tonight. So much for their spiel about working through the night. The "we're waiting on sprint to release inventory" excuse is clearly no longer valid.

We've all been had.

yep, i think their overnight crew fell asleep....im done w/evp..gunna try my luck tomorrow at a few stores and see if i have any luck & i'll just reject/return my evp order when i finally do get it...

That's my plan too. They had a chance to win a customer but instead lost many because you can be sure I'm going to tell everyone I know never to use them.
