hmmm wonder if its the same Lisa i deal with via email.
Anyway, I emailed her just now to cancel the order. I hope it gets cancelled.I haven't received a reply back yet. Anyway, Its funny, but at the same time I was writing the cancellation email notice, I get a call from the Radio Shack that I pre-ordered from and was told to come in at 7AM for my appt to pick up the EVO. last week, they tell me no appt are necessary and we won't open up early and now they say yeah you have an appt at 7AM and we open at 6AM. woohoo. I'm getting my EVO, I'm getting my EVO lol
As for EVP, I am not faulting them either for the delay in shipping, its not their fault that Sprint has been Big Brother in all of this and making sure no one gets to ship/sell any phone until they say so.
TS out
Via chat EVP rep just told me that my phone would ship Friday, and that Sat delivery was possible if my area supported it... I called around my area, and there are no EVO's available unless preordered.
Looks like I'm waiting for Saturday! On a good note, all of my Seidio accessories were delivered today, so I can play with them.
I found an RS that has 2 not allocated to pre-orders, but they won't let me order or reserve them in any way, first come first serve. At this point I'm seriously considering a camp out, and one starting very early.. which is crazy, since I've never done anything like that for anything before.
Speaking of the amount of EVO being ordered, this article actually states how many have been ordered. 1.2 million by launch date.
holy new subscribers batman.

Well, hayj inspired me to check back with the store I originally pre-ordered from and they still have my paperwork. I can come in this evening and re-authorize the deposit and I'll be back to where I was pre-EVP.
I just spoke with Brian at EVP and canceled my order. Like most of you decided, the $25 off per-phone was offset by the shipping cost and having to wait several more days. If I can manage to get my activation fee waived then I'll even save some money.
The store told me they don't waive activation fees when I asked last week. Is there a trick to it? I read in one thread to call after I have my account and tell the operator that I was promised no activation fees and they'll refund it. Anyone had luck with that?
But I'm not really seating it either since I was not planning on activating my Evo anyway until I saw how much Amazon and Wirefly were going to sell the Evo for after 12am tonight. If I'm not mistaken Amazon was selling the Incredible for $99 dollars for the first few hours it was released. So I will be camped in front of my computer tonight to see if Amazon posts another great deal. I suggest some of you folks out there might want to do the same.
If you're a Premier customer you just call in and ask them to remove the charge, simple as that.
I wasn't expecting an early delivery, but sometime during the day on Friday would have sufficed. I could probably handle Saturday AM if they could actually promise that, but it's looking more and more like Monday now for EVP, and because of that, I'm very pissed at them for misleading me for the past week. If they'd have said Monday when I ordered, I would have ordered, and I think they knew that. It reeks of deliberate deceit.
Reminds me of the Wii launch. I stood in line for a few hours at Gamestop. An employee was in line in front of me. He said he didn't know how many Wii's they had but I should be fine.More fail, another couple of BBs off the list. One said they have already sold everything they have in and the other said they have sold 29 but have more, but said "I am not at liberty to tell you how many we have not sold yet". WTH? If you have 0, or 100, or something in between, why not tell me so I can decide if I should come to your store tomorrow and give you my money or not??
This is just making my anger at EVP grow.
I made my order through EVP as well hoping to have gotten the unit early, but no such luck. But I'm not really seating it either since I was not planning on activating my Evo anyway until I saw how much Amazon and Wirefly were going to sell the Evo for after 12am tonight. If I'm not mistaken Amazon was selling the Incredible for $99 dollars for the first few hours it was released.
