Experiences after using 5.7.893 update - HOLY CRAP!!!

I was actually going to ask Vehtemas to consider changing the title of his thread to more of an appropriate thread title so users can easily tell that this is a discussion about the newest leaked update but......................

HOLY CRAP!!!

that's some good battery life. :p:D

The holiest of holy craps!!!

Although a good point, I will change the title of the thread so it is more informative, I never expected for it to get this big...

Let me know if you think of a more informative title, I kind of just chose the first thing that made sense...

The new name for this thread is ... Experience after using the leaked cheesecake OTA update - HOLY CRAP!!! ... and that is ambiguous.

Does it mean the update to the current OTA?
or
Does it mean it is the update that will be release as the OTA? (I don;t think so)

What does the reference to cupcake mean?

For clarity I suggest ...

Experience after using 5.7.893 update - HOLY CRAP!!!

... removing all ambiguity.

Done. Granted I changed it to Experience(s) since more people than just me put down their thoughts. ;)

All the initial reports sound great ... almost too good to be true ... it needs time to age a little ...

My other prediction ... again ... is an awful lot of the problems that have been killing peoplke will be shown to be bad batteries ... especially bad extended batteriesd ... but of course not all of them.

My report after 2.5 days after updating the phone:

I have had ONE point where my 3G disappeared, granted I think it was a bad signal since I was in a 22 story building...

Anyways, beyond that I have had no issues, I found that the camera does respond a bit faster than it did before.

Also, I think it is still 'settling' since I have not noticed ANY battery increase, and the Android OS seems to be using the most battery, I am thinking it is 'settling' as most people say.

So I did this going through the 3 step process. I used the forever root. And now, I have no root. And it will not root using petes one click or easy root........Am I missing something here???
When it gets to the second step it just keeps denying it.

adb could not be granted root access via local.prop method

Look at this new thread, there are instructions on how to re-root your phone once you update and not have to restore to factory, I just got it done myself: http://androidforums.com/bionic-all-things-root/440223-root-5-7-893-not-restore-5-5-893-a.html

I updated my wife's Bionic (not rooted) to the 5.7 leak. It has been better for her, but since then she has had 2 BSOD's. More actually than she had before...

Upgraded to 5.7.893 on Friday and have had 2 BSODs since the upgrade.
