Help Extended Battery

Hey Guy, (Gals)

I am new to the forums but figured this would be the best place to ask the question at. I have recently purchased a Samsung Galaxy S2 from VM and the phone is absolutely terrific it is a whole new world from my old phone the LG Optimus V. But the battery life is god awful I bought the phone used and the battery it came with was the 2200mah from the samsung galaxy epic 4g I believe. I have an otterbox case with the kickstand and would love to keep it but it seems that a bigger battery is either sacrifice size or battery life. I was wondering if anyone knows of a better battery than what I have but I could still keep my case. I have done a bit of research and the biggest 1 I have found is 2520mah that would still allow me to keep the same case. But I am not sure if the 200+mah is really worth it. If anyone can shed some light on this it would be much appreciated. Also I am fully aware of the external battery packs but most of the time I just carry my charger with so I would rather not go that route. Under heavy use i can drain the battery within a couple hours.

If you want to keep your Ottorbox case, then you should get the 2520mAh battery. Or another option would be to buy a couple OEM stock batteries and just pop a new one in if one dies but seeing how you have an Otterbox, taking the case off to replace the battery would be a pain.
If you can sacrifice size for battery life, then this QCell extended battery should do the trick.

(Sprint and Virgin Mobile's Galaxy S2 variants are basically the same phone so it should work.)

I don't mind the size. I actaully looked at that battery for awhile. Only reason I haven't bought one is because I would like to have a case for it. If they make cases for the bigger battery that would be my best option but I can't seem to track one down.

I used the Trexcell extended battery. It came with its own battery door of course, but there is an optional TPU case that will fit the phone with the extended battery. I had excellent results with it.

I wish there was an otterbox defender case, or similar variant, that would accommodate an extended battery, I'd love to have longer battery life and the security this case gives me(plus I love the feel and grip of the rubber shell). Sadly I have yet to find one

Thanks for the link. How much of a difference does that battery make? When I watch netflix with brightness all the way up on dynamic screen setting it can go from full to 50% in about an hour. I don't tend to do that often for obvious reason lol but why not use it too its full potential.

Look at the capacity. Little less than double your current one.

Should be nearly double the life. Maybe more if your current battery is deteriorating
