Root extract kernel from rom

I would like the kernel from the modaco 2.3 rom but I see that you can't download it seperately. Is it possible to extract the kernel from the rom?

i think what hes trying to do is merge the modaco kernel with gingervillain but it wont work as modaco uses sense

Nah, there's a new version of modaco on xda that's GB 2.3.3. This guy's been on the GV thread over there asking for help with a wifi problem. Apparently his wifi works with modaco but not with gv, so he's been trying to frankenstein the two.

Yeah he has tried the radio and RIL that is with modaco, but only the kernel left to try.

Well obviously he has tried the radio. when modaco flashes the radio, its left behind anyway
