Extremely frusterated, please help.

One month ago I quit using my iphone 4 and "upgraded" to droid razr M, due to the improved battery life. While it has been an asset in that respect, it has been an immense step backwards in every other way, as I have had to fight with the thing for hours to get the simplist tasks done. Right now, I have spent the past week trying to get music and videos from my computer on the phone, and have failed completely. The app I was recommended, "doubletwist", has proved incompatible with the Razr M due to lack of a "mass storage" option in the settings, and the five bucks I spent on the airsync option has gone to waste as the phone steadfastly refuses to show up on a network scan. I am extremely frusterated and deeply regret making the change. Can somebody please help me figure out how i can listen to music and play videos on the phone? And is there any way I can get the money I spent on the app back?

Hmmm the way I get my music on my phone is just plug my phone into my computer and just drag and drop my music onto my phone. Does that not work for you?
As far as the money back, you can try emailing the app creator.

First I find that Airdroid works for transferring files from computer to device. This works great for my Razr M. As far as music goes I have all mine in Google Play Music. It streams it to what ever device I am using with no issues whatsoever.

As far as getting your money back all I can say is good luck with that. If you have issues with your Razr M or just need some basic help using it feel free to PM me and I'll see what I can do to help.

Oh and BTW Welcome to the forums :)

Unfortunenlty, when I plug the phone into my computer, theres something like a dozen folders inside, so I'm not sure which one I should put the songs into.

not sure on your phone, but there should be a media folder that you can move your music to.

but for me i use Google Play Music

you just sync any music on your pc and then you can play it on your phone. you do not need to have any music on your card. you stream it as long as you have wifi or 3g/4g. you also have the option to download the music onto your phone.

I have found on several android phones that you can just put it right in the root directory and your music player will have no problem finding them (if there isn't a folder labeled music). Ironically the phone I have now doesn't seem to recognize any media files put in their respective folders so they all just go in the root directory.

1. plug in phone using USB cable to PC.
2. from PC...open directory to the phone
3. create a folder for your music files.. give it a reasonable name.. suggestion: "music"
4. drag and drop mp3 files from PC to new created folder.

or.. for some.. iphones are better.

Chrono, music from iTunes should play on Android without any problems at all. However if you've got any movies purchased from the iTunes Store, these have DRM(Digital Rights/Restrictions Management), which means they will only play on Apple devices.

You can use airdroid app to transfer wirelessly otherwise copy and paste should be pretty simple. Just set all your music to one folder then choose that folder to use as your default for whatever music app you use.
