I downloaded the Facebook App and am using it. In the NOTIFICATIONS page, I have made it INACTIVE = I do not want any facebook notifications. I have not logged out of my facebook on the EVO.

But... I keep getting all FB notifications on my EVO.

How do I prevent fb notifications on my phone?
Am I doing something wrong? Do I have to log out every time?
 
The Refresh Interval is set to NEVER. Further, when the NOTIFICATION is set to INACTIVE, the Refresh Interval is greyed out and inactive. In fact, when the NOTIFICATION is set to INACTIVE, the entire screen goes grey/haze and nothing can be set - makes sense since all the notification is set to INACTIVE. That is how mine is set. But it doesn't seem to be working. I get ALL facebook notifications on top of my EVO every time something comes through - postings, mails, IMs...etc.

I uninstalled and reinstalled the app. Same thing.
 
very odd. I actually have my notifications set to active....but have refresh set to Never...and the sound set to silent

I get no notifications
 
I am having the same problem on my EVO. I'm going to try the "never" thing (I had them turned off before, but I kept getting them.).

Too many notifications to deal with that stuff... I check it enough anyway.

I'm sure. The FB notification icon comes up, then there are notifications from FB when I drag down. Still isn't working for me when I put "never" but had them active. If anyone who has had this issue has been able to fix it, pleaseee let me know. It's annoying.
 
Log in to FB from a PC. Go to Account, Settings, Notifications and you can set permissions. Also in the same Settings page click on Mobile and you can set preferences. This should solve your problem if you've already applied the recommended settings (above) on your phone.
