Help Facebook / Facebook HTC Duplicate Contacts

This is my first android phone and I've been playing around and when i first set it up I downloaded Facebook and had it sync the contacts that were on Facebook AND in my contacts (gmail contacts). Now every single one of those contacts has 2 Facebook links. One works fine to view that person's facebook profile but the other has this error:

This Application Facebook for HTC Sense (process.htc.socialnetwork.facebook) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again.

Anyone have any ideas why this is happening or what it means? Would it be worth getting rid of all facebook syncing and then resync?

Delete FB for HTC Sense under settings>accounts and sync

FB for Android from the market is far superior anyways.

For a while I used both because I loved the way sense added the stream section in the contacts.

Cool. Thanks. Then I can just leave the sync in the regular facebook app?

I did that and still get that error when I click a Facebook profile under a contact on my address book
