Help Facebook home app?

I go to the Settings tab, tap on one of the US carriers but it doesnt do anything, not obviously anyway..
Lol nothing is straight forward to me mate ;)

I havent tried market yet lol. Just when i tap the carrier, it doesnt look like its done anythin lol. Il try now :)
EDIT, ahh you have to long-press on the carrier then tap "fake this carrier"
Cant seem to find fb home though...

So is anyone who doesnt plan to use it permenantly gona install it just to check it out?
Think i will. Its my duty as a phone geek :)
Plus there'l probably be a lot of support questions on here about it from people who havent used a 3rd party launcher before

I'm not going to bother. It doesn't support widgets. There is nothing that FB can offer me that will be worth giving up all of my widgets.

Its actualy kinda cool. Works surprisingly well :)
If i was still a fb user id be torn by it.... would be cool if you could just use your normal launcher but say, swipe down to enter fb home or something :)

Thanks, just tried. It's useless for me, got unistalled right off. It's just like a slideshow of Facebook status, etc. The app launcher isn't smooth and has a old style scrolling up and down, rather than a slide left to right (and viceversa). Nothing impressing.

I think it would be better as an app rather than a home replacement. When i was a fb user, id have happily had that sitting there next to me while watching tv just to look at every so often. Defo not worth giving up your launcher up for though

Also i had to uninstall it to prevent it from starting every time i turned the screen on. Force closing didnt stop it so it wont work as just a second launcher to use whenever you feel like it

Granted I'm a Facebook user and I haven't tried this "launcher"

I doubt I'll ever try it, my thoughts on a fb launcher and even fb phone, epic fail lol

Can't begin to think of using a launcher that with fb-ize my phone lol

Edit

So my curiosity got the best of me

End result: uninstalled

This may be an "interesting" question but if you don't use FB Home is useless right? I just want to make sure since I don't use FB, but don't want to miss out of something so innovative.

i almost downloaded this until i read the posts here, i dont like that it wants to own your phone, need it as a secondary not a main (for me anyways)

Right you can't use home unless you've got the fb app with an account linked to it.

Trust me, your not missing anything lol

Has anyone else been trying to give it an earnest try? What IS nice is that you can still set Nova as your default launcher when you hit the home button, so on my phone it's effectively nothing more than a lock screen... Unlock the phone and Nova pops up.

But what I don't like is the new Facebook Messages app appears to only support Facebook users? In the past all of my SMS messages appeared in the list, but now none of my SMS messages appear in the Facebook Messages app... And if you try to send someone a text message by typing in their phone number it gives you an error that you have to select a person. :?
