Help Facebook on EVO

Hi, bear with me, since I'm new to Android and on here.

OK. I have a Facebook widget on one of the home screens. The widget doesn't stay current. it keeps showing the same status that a friend made like a day and a half ago. How do I make the widget stay current?

Also, is there a way to remove all the facebook friends from my contacts/people list? I don't want all my FB friends on my contacts.

Can someone also please explain to me the difference in the 2 Facebook things?

1. menu, settings, accounts and sync, go in to each and set the frequency you want them to update. you also have a manual "refresh" button at the bottom of the widget.

2. people.menu.viewuncheck facebook contacts. I think there may be two places to do this but that is the most common place

3. one is just the general facebook app, a gateway to facebook made by facebook for android. the other is facebook for htc which syncs the pics, contacts to your phone and is what friendstream uses to gather data. htc designed it to work with your phone specifically
