Help Facebook Push Notification Problem on Note 3

Lurker
I am experiencing a problem on my Note 3 with the Facebook app notifications. In Fact i do not receive any of them. The settings on the app is as follows:

Settings -> Notification Settings -> all ticked, Refresh Interval is 1 hour (default). Notification from PC are on.

I tried and turned the platform off because i thought maybe some other app was crashing. I delete the facebook app and re installed it but nothing.

But after all these when someone comments/like/post or share something i dont get a notification in notification bar. What i have to do to get push notifications?

Thanks for any answers.

Go to
Settings > General > Application Manager > Facebook
Check if you have accidentally disable Show Notifications feature

/
Have you tried with different internet connection?

hey thx for the reply. The "show notifications" is enabled. And it is the same even when i am in my home connection or when i am outside on data or at a cafe on another wifi

It could be pretty drastic, depending on how much stuff you would have to back up first, but maybe doing a factory reset would help?

I thought about it. But the problem is going on from some time now. It was happening when i had the S3. I got my Note last week. Did the setup, install the facebook app and still. Is it possible to be a conflict with my email?

On mine, when I go to Settings, Application mgr, Running, Facebook has 1 process (Facebook) and 1 service (MqttPushService) running.

Edit: While watching this screen, the EventService also started, but I don't know if it was running when I tested notifications about 5 minutes ago.

I believe this is an issue with Fb and not your device.
Many many people have had or are having the sake issue you are having. I suggest you send a bug report to Fb and then wait because it has been ongoing since version 3.7 of the Fb app was released.
3.9 is in beta so hopefully they can fix it.
