[Facebook][Root] Block Suggested Posts?

Anybody know if there's a way to block the "suggested posts" and/or other spammy junk that ends up on one's wall using the Facebook app? I have AdFree but it doesn't seem to do the trick. I've noted a solution for PC use involving a plugin for Firefox/Chrome but was hoping perhaps there's a solution for rooted phones running the app??

You can't. No app can interfere with another app's internals AFAIK.

Yeah, I was kind of hoping somebody had done such hackery but if they have, I can't find it.

I did find a few solutions which merge Facebook, Twitter and a few others depending on the app, into a single social stream. And some of those seem to leave out the junk so it's evidently tied to the Facebook mobile app as suspected. I may just use a different app but unfortunately from what I've seen so far, it has the most functionality. Which I suppose it what they are banking on. Hoping we'll figure on the added junk as the cost of doing business.

I just wish all my family and friends would move onto Google Plus. I cant stand to go on fb these days :banghead::banghead:

I use Stylish on my PC to edit out things I don't wish to see on particular web sites, plus there's stylish styles pre-made that you can download (tons for FB that remove all the crap).

Apparently there's a Stylish for Android that you can add to Firefox. So, if it works the same way that the PC version works, yes you can indeed edit out crap you don't wish to see on certain sites. This is done by local files.. easy if you know web site programming (CSS etc).
