Root Factory reset Optimus v bricked help.

After I factory reset my rooted phone I looked around and started using adb.

I found this:

Code:
Adb remount

cat /sdcard/flash_image > /system/bin/flash_image

chmod 755 /system/bin/flash_image

mount -o remount,ro /system /system

flash_image recovery /sdcard/NAME-OF-RECOVERY.img
I get stuck at the second line. Any help?

Welcome aboard. Hopefully someone over your device's support forum might be able to assist you with this problem.

Best of luck. ツ

If your prompt within adb is $ you need to enter su and it needs to change to # otherwise you're not running as root and don't have permission to do the things you are attempting.

I now have the # but it says

~ # cat /sdcard/flash_image > /system/bin/flash_image
cat /sdcard/flash_image > /system/bin/flash_image
/sbin/sh: can't create /system/bin/flash_image: nonexistent directory

it changed and now says:

~ # cat /sdcard/flash_image > /system/bin/flash_image
cat /sdcard/flash_image > /system/bin/flash_image
/sbin/sh: can't create /system/bin/flash_image: Read-only file system

Okay so I restored the system on clockworkmod recovery and then attempted to use ADB to push xionia recovery. I was able to and put in code reboot recovery and it rebooted straight to the stock rom and everything works. Thanks for all the help and sorry about the multiple posts.
