Root Factory Reset

If I do a Factory Wipe on my wife's rooted s-off Inc, will I lose root? I want to have a clean slate before installing a new rom and I read somewhere that facotry resets from offical roms require you to re-activate your phone because it resets the prl, whereas third party ROMS do not.

Nope. As long as you're S-Off you can always get root back.

Can I restore factory default from Recovery?

When you are rooted and you perform a reset, it'll revert to the origins of whatever Rom you are running presently minus any user changes since the initial install. You'll still have root and superuser.
