Root failed rooting

next is likely either voodoo or OC. Lag fix/voodoo is where you will replace the stock RFS filesystem [slow] with EXT4 [faster reads and writes]. OC of course is where you take the stock 1Ghz and bump it up a bit. The nice thing is almost all the OC kernels are undervolted as well so despite the extra speed you should gain a bit of extra battery life too

This sounds exactly what i'd like to do. Especially the lag fix/voodoo.

Is there a great tutorial for both?

Model Clockspeed Voltage
1000LV 1000Mhz 1225mv
1100LV 1100Mhz 1225mv
1100SV 1100Mhz 1300mv
1200LV 1200Mhz 1250mv
1200SV 1200Mhz 1300mv
1250LV 1250Mhz 1275mv

1000 1000 1300mv = stock

As I suggestion maybe start with 1000LV, as that seems flawless for most then try 1200LV second. If you can LV instead of SV why not do it right? 1250LV is a 50-50 proposition so try that after 1200LV. If 1200LV is problematic go to 1200SV or 1100LV.
Each SF is different and you will have to find the right one for you. Mine is 1200LV, the lucky can do 1250LV, others love the battery life of 1000LV

I think I will take a risk and start out with the 1100 LV...

Do i have to remove/uninstall anything if I ever wanted to upgrade?

Excellent.

Well, I have gained root, downloaded CWM, made a nandroid backup, and lag fix'ed/overclocked this sucker.

Anything else cool to do? lol

And again thank you all for the help.

Not a bad day huh. Just test it out now. Maybe run some benchmarks. You probably can try out a faster kernel too

Motorola Cliq/DEXT MB220
i'm having the same problem as stated before. trying to update Superuser, and i get the same error. the zip file is not readable from my computer.

an error occurred and su was not updated. a zip file (su-2,3,1-bin-signed.zip) has been placed on your sdcard, please reboot into recovery mode and flash it to update your su binary.

I do not know what busybox is or any thing else you mentioned. Please help, it's my first time rooting, and absolutely everything is going wrong. noob in need of help :(
