Help Fascinate occasionally freezes

So I was writing a text message today and the phone just went blank. Came back up in a couple of minutes. Weird. I'm starting to wonder why. Any suggestions as to why??

Are you able to replicate this problem under any circumstances other than texting? Are you just using the stock msg app or something aftermarket like handcent? Any additional info will help diagnose

Yes using handcent app. It has happened a couple of times.
